Paul J. Yank is a graduate of Layton
School of Art, where he
obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He attended the University
of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and also attended the University of Kyoto
in Japan while serving in the Marine Corps.
M. Yank was sculptor in residence at the Milwaukee Public
Museum and executed figurative sculpture and three-dimensional
objects in development of exhibits. He had an active private
studio during this period, and when these demands expanded he
resigned from his museum position.
He now works in Cedarburg, Wisconsin where he has converted
a century and a half old brewery into the large scale studios and
galleries he finds necessary.
Mr. Yank has executed many commissions throughout the United
States, including the Wisconsin Pavilion for the 1965 New York
World's Fair, Milwaukee Summerfest Feature Fountain in
Cathedral Square, City of West Milwaukee Memorial Fountain and
Atwater Park in Shorewood. His sculptures grace many private
homes, notably in Wisconsin and California and numerous
schools, churches, industrial firms and banks.
